| The Game
V8: Arcade is a remake of the classic V8 series of vehicular shooters by Luxoflux/Activision from the late 1990s: Vigilante 8 for PS1/N64 (1998) and Vigilante 8: Second Offense for PS1/N64/Dreamcast (1999).
V8 History
Introduction
At the twilight of the last millennium, an addictive car-combat game exploded onto the console scene. It boasted funky ‘70s vehicles, spin-tastic physics, oodles of destruction, and wacky characters. The game rapidly found favor with high-schoolers, college youth, dot-comers and blue-collar working men. Soon, students were ditching school, factory output declined, and the Dot-Com bubble imploded.
The Developers
Founded by Peter Morawiec and Adrian Stephens in January 2007, Isopod Labs is a new R&D studio aiming to deliver innovative games and software via online downloads and traditional distribution channels, for console, PC, and handheld platforms.
Along with Cary Hara (V8: Second Offense), the trio represents the original core brains behind Luxoflux and the creators of the Vigilante 8 and True Crime series of games. With nearly 60 man-years of combined game development experience, the founders are not only industry veterans by now, but also responsible and dedicated family men. Ha!

Bio: Sidney E. Burn is the world’s most notorious auto mercenary, specializing in mayhem and sabotage. While not on the job, he devotes his time to arson - his beloved hobby. Promised $100 million by a foreign oil consortium to destabilize the U.S. economy, he’s out to raise some hell, literally!

Jefferson / John Torque
The Man is back! Once again, the cool cat will roll into town in a late model Jefferson, with a custom gold trim and the most powerful subwoofer this side of the Mississippi. “Bass Quake!!!”
Bio: A one-time Vegas hustler, John Torque was recruited by Convoy to join the Vigilantes and become his right-hand man. Still suffering from serious gambling withdrawal, the Man takes his frustrations out on the bandidos. As the legend goes, nobody crosses JT and lives.
