Error Messages

Anybody get an error message on their games asking you to please put the disc in an X-Box 360 console? As I only own 5 or 6 games, I can't tell if it's the games, or my X-Box, as it happens on most of the games.

Sounds like the concole, I've had it happen before, but after checking the disc was dirty and once cleaned was fine.

One of my friends had this happen more and more often and on more of his games, but rather than letting it die went and brought a new console so I don't know what would have happened.

I'd say make sure they're clean first (guess you have though), failing that...... prepare for the worst Crying or Very sad

Have belled Microsoft, who are going to send me some pre-paid vouchers to send it off for repair.

That happened to me but only whenever I played Call Of Duty 2, strange thing is when I tried MY copy of the disk in Benjamin's 360 it worked fine, and if I tried HIS copy of Call Of Duty 2 in my 360 it worked fine.

Make sure you know EXACTLY what is happening if your console is being sent off to Microsoft for repair. Meaning that this newish 3 year warranty ONLY covers the Red Ring of Death, as far as I know you have to pay for any other issues...I've read on some other forums about people being landed with an invoice for repairs after getting a console back yet Microsoft conveniently failed to tell them about this.

I was told I wouldn't have to pay, but will double check just to make sure. I've had the Red Ring, but thankfully it didn't kill my X-Box, as I'm still paying for it.
