ConanDeveloper: Nihilistic
Publisher: THQ
Website: This game ain't got a site!!!
You know, the greatest thing about anticipating the arrival of a game, is the slow release of information. If a game arrives that the publisher or developer is proud of, you can look forwad to many months of information leaking out onto the internet. Screenshots, promises of "unique game engines", etc. Stuff like that heightens anticipation and makes me want to play it.
But Conan gives me a problem. It actually got released last week. And I have not seen a review anywhere. At all. Nor even a decent preview. Which is bad. It has basically just slipped under the radar, complete with the confusion of preceding another Conan game, which will be some sort of RPG/slasher kind of game.
So what can I tell you? Well, I can't get hold of any screenshots or any positive words about this game. I know what I would like from this game. Something so outrageously violent, huge, visceral and fun that we have our own God of War. But knowing my luck, we will get a game that will rival Spiderman 3 as the worst game of the year.
The game itself promises to stay true to the vision of Robert E Howard, the creator of Conan. His stories basically revolved around huge men, huge weapons, loads of blood and eye-candy. Basically, the fella loved violence and scantily-clad women. Which I suppose is a perfect fit for our console. But will it be fun?
Anyone that actually gets this game, do drop us a line.
